A longtime member of Four Winds Craft Guild, David Lazarus first mastered the art of Scrimshaw in the 1970’s which then led him to printmaking and eventually to painting.  He has been practicing on Nantucket Island for over forty years.
David’s painting style is constantly evolving; from Plein Air, to larger works painted in the studio, to a growing interest in abstraction. He pushes the paint around the canvas with a confident broad brush application and a bold use of color. His work hangs in collections throughout America and Europe.
David Lazarus is truly one of the most sought after artists working on Nantucket today and is currently represented exclusively by Four Winds Craft Guild & Sylvia Antiques.
